Our Qualifications
Stanley R. Cwynar, CPA
Stan is the managing member of the firm. He founded the firm in 1989 and has over 25 years experience in governmental, not for profit, and financial auditing. He holds a BBA with a dual major in accounting and economics from Siena College. A CPA since January 1986, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and a one of the founding members of Advisory Board for School District Internal Auditors Alliance (SDIAA). Stan has been an organization manager, auditor, tax preparer, financial accountant, financial consultant, and internal control advisor.
Heather Mitchell, CPA
Heather has over fifteen years of audit, accounting, and tax experience.
Mark Whittaker, CPA
Mark has over twenty years of audit, accounting, and tax experience serving both US and Canadian public and private companies and individuals. His #1 priority is delivering excellent client service. He has worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP for over ten years and other large US CPA firms in both US and Canada. Though this experience, he has gained significant expertise in tax, auditing, and technical accounting. He is looking forward to serving you.
John Akinyemi, CPA
John has over ten years of experience in auditing, accounting, and tax. He has worked for the past two years for Deloitte & Touche LLP as an accounting and internal controls problem solver for federal, state and local governments. He has experience as an auditor for the New York City Comptroller’s office. His priority is to develop our company’s tax practice and assist with our governmental audit and assurance practice. He is looking forward to serving you.
Gloria B Gibbon, CIA, CISA, CGEIT, CFSA
Gloria has over 30 years of internal audit experience and education. She holds a B.S. in Business/Finance from Penn State and a Masters in Technology Management from UMUC. She is certified in internal and financial services auditing with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) as well as in information systems auditing from ISACA. In addition she is certified in rick management assurance from the IIA and in governance of enterprise information technology from ISACA. Gloria has served on the boards of both the Central New York Chapters of IIA and ISACA.
Gloria has been in the position of both the auditor and auditee and is sensitive to the strong need for good communications. She has advanced to Distinguished Toastmaster as member of the local Toastmasters’ club and has served in various leadership roles for the local clubs and the district.
