Our Qualifications

Stanley R. Cwynar, CPA
Stan is the managing member of the firm.  He founded the firm in 1989 and has over 25 years experience in governmental, not for profit, and financial auditing.  He holds a BBA with a dual major in accounting and economics from Siena College.  A CPA since January 1986, member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and a one of the founding members of Advisory Board for School District Internal Auditors Alliance (SDIAA).  Stan has been an organization manager, auditor, tax preparer, financial accountant, financial consultant, and internal control advisor.

Daniel J. Farrow, CPA
Dan is a member of the firm.  He has been with the firm since 2004 and has over 15 years of education and experience in accounting. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Oneonta.  Dan has extensive experience in governmental and not-for-profit accounting, and he is responsible for audits of school districts, municipalities and not-for-profit entities.  He also provides accounting and tax services for small businesses and individuals. Dan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Association of School Business Officials.​

Stephen J. Locke, CPA
Steve is a member of the firm.  He began working with the firm while in college as a summer intern and in 2012 started full time after graduating.  He holds​ a B.S. in Accounting from the State University of New York at Brockport.  Steve has over 10 years of experience in governmental and not-for-profit auditing as well as accounting and tax services for individuals, small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Gloria B Gibbon, CIA, CISA, CGEIT, CFSA​
Gloria has over 30 years of internal audit experience and education.  She holds a B.S. in Business/Finance from Penn State and a Masters in Technology Management from UMUC.  She is certified in internal and financial services auditing with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) as well as in information systems auditing from ISACA.  In addition she is certified in rick management assurance from the IIA and in governance of enterprise information technology from ISACA.  Gloria has served on the boards of both the Central New York Chapters of IIA and ISACA.

Gloria has been in the position of both the auditor and auditee and is sensitive to the strong need for good communications.  She has advanced to Distinguished Toastmaster as member of the local Toastmasters’ club and has served in various leadership roles for the local clubs and the district.
